This unit arrived in tact and in fine shape, we set it up on our counter and waited 24 hours till we started it. After which it worked great, we immediately took it on our camping trip and it provided enough ice for the whole weekend (with a frozen drink blender).

My word of advise, it seems that the ratings are either great or horrible and I have a theory on this. I purchased this a couple of years ago and tho it still freezes ice the metal plating on the posts that freeze the ice has started flaking off leaving the ice inedible. I have carefully followed manufacturers instructions on cleaning and ONLY used filtered water... very disappointed!!!
